The Graduated Percent Fee on sales over $1 million
For deeds recorded on or after July 10, 2025, sales over $1 million carry a Graduated Percent Fee on the full price: 1% up to $2 million, 2% up to $2.5 million, 2.5% up to $3 million, 3% up to $3.5 million and 3.5% above that. The law now places it on the seller instead of the buyer, per the Division of Taxation July 2025 notice.
